Using Modern Computational Fluid Dynamics Software

To gain an in-depth understanding of a building’s internal or external air flow, and transient pollutant concentration levels, we use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Software. This software allows us to first create a 3D model of the part of the building of interest, apply boundary conditions from a previously generated Dynamic Simulation Model, and then run a detailed point-by-point simulation to give very detailed reports on a range of environmental parameters. Computational Fluid Dynamics Software

This software allows us to study the external air/ pollutant flow and transient pollutant concentration levels for a building in 3D . Alternatively, critical rooms can be analysed in fine detail to study any number of steady-state or transient simulations. For example, we provide very detailed outputs for parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, pollutants, smoke, CO2, and air movement. This is particularly relevant when considering innovative systems spaces with high internal heat or moisture gains, exhibition spaces with delicate exhibits, or the time available to use the means of escape in the event of a fire. Typically, CFD software allows us to:

P7

  • Analyse the Microclimate or Pollutants Around Buildings

  • Evaluate Airflow Through Spaces E.G. For Naturally Ventilated Buildings

  • Analyse the Microclimate in Critical Rooms Including Parameters Such as Temperature, Humidity, and Airflow

  • Study the Build-Up of Smoke within a Series of Spaces for a Theoretical Fire

  • We Use Fluent CFD Software and Believe This to Be the Most Comprehensive, Accurate, and User-Friendly in the Industry
